What's New in v0.35: A Fresh New Interface

v0.35 is our biggest UI refresh yet. Every core view has been rethought for clarity, consistency, and speed. Here's a full rundown of what changed.

Sessions

The session view is where you spend most of your time in Lanes, so it got the most attention.

The right-hand context panel now surfaces everything you need in a single glance: workflow status, git summary with per-file line counts, attachments, and session statistics all in one place. No more hunting across tabs to understand what a session has done.

The side panel is also collapsible. Collapse it and you get the full window width back for your terminal and session output. Expand it when you need the context. It stays out of your way when you don't.

The overall UI language is cleaner too. Elements are more consistent across the board: spacing, borders, and controls have all been harmonised to feel like a single cohesive product.

Changes

The Changes page has been rebuilt around the workflow of actually managing a branch.

At the top you get an immediate read on your situation: current repository, current branch, and whether you're up to date with remote. Live status polling keeps this in sync automatically, so you always know if something has been pushed or if you've drifted.

The file list shows all modified files with a clear indicator of what changed. Click a file and the diff opens inline: side-by-side, syntax highlighted, with collapsed sections for unchanged code. The History tab sits right next to Changes, so flipping between the working tree and the commit log is a single click.

History

Past sessions are now much easier to read.

The history tab now renders markdown properly. Agent summaries, file lists, command output, and status updates all format correctly instead of rendering as raw text. If an agent wrote a structured summary of what it did, you'll see it as formatted prose with headings and lists.

Scanning a long session to find a specific decision or file operation is now much faster. The timeline is cleaner, the content is readable, and nothing important gets buried in a wall of monospace text.

Settings

The settings page has been reorganised into clearly separated sections.

You'll find General, Appearance, Workflows, Quick Actions, Labels, CLI Flags, and Permissions as distinct entries in the sidebar. Each section is focused and contains only what belongs there. The Danger Zone for resetting preferences is clearly demarcated at the bottom of Appearance.

The result is a settings experience that's easy to navigate without knowing where things are ahead of time.

Stability and General Improvements

Beyond the visual changes, v0.35 is meaningfully faster and more reliable. Startup is quicker, view transitions are smoother, and a number of edge cases that caused hangs or stale state have been fixed. There are general improvements throughout the app that add up to a noticeably snappier experience day to day.
